League Overview

Fantasy Basketball goes to college!

CFFL.com, innovators in fantasy sports, bring you College fantasy basketball.  Now college basketball is more of a challenge for the fan, and more fun to watch all week!

Playing the CFFL College Fantasy Basketball Game

You choose a Starting Lineup of five players from across Division IA college basketball, each week.  Your only limits are the Roster needs of your team -- one player at each of five positions (PF, C, SF, SG, PG).   Your team receives points each week based upon the success of all five players' that week -- Team points are the sum of all five Players' points that week; Team's season points total is the sum of each week's points throughout the season.  Fantasy Points are based on Players' actual points production during NCAA competition. (Games that count for CFFL College fantasy basketball competition are listed on the "Schedules" page at CFFL.com web site.) Team with highest total of Fantasy Points is declared Winner.   Season starts December 2, 2002, ends March 09, 2003.  (Final three weeks are Playoffs.)

Playoffs:  Top seeded team in each conference receives a 15-point bonus to their score in Week 1 and 2; second seeded team receives 10-point bonus in week one.   In the Final Week of Playoffs -- League Championship game -- no bonuses are given.

Scoring

CFFL.com College Fantasy Basketball Points are based upon Official Statistics from NCAA competition (as defined by schedules posted at CFFL.com web site).   Each Player on Starting Lineup is assigned fantasy points based upon their actual game statistics that week.

Fantasy Points are assigned to Players according to the following chart:

Stats for the Week are totaled then divided by number of games played that week, to determine Points-Per-Game Average for that Player.  (Averages rounded to nearest Point.)  This PPG score is the player's Fantasy Points total for that week.  An Average per-game Points total is calculated and used as that Player's contribution to the team's score that week.  The Team's weekly score is calculated as the sum of the individual Fantasy Points scores for each of the five-player Starting Lineup that week.  Season Totals for the team are calculated as the sum of Weekly Points totals throughout the season (defined as Dec. 2nd through March 9th.)  League Champion is defined as the Team with the highest Total Points at the end of the regular season.

Your Roster

Your CFFL College Fantasy Basketball team will field a five-player lineup each week. The team will be comprised of one (1) Player from each of the following positions: Power Forward, Center, Small Forward, Shooting Guard, and Point Guard.  Owners submit their list of Starters each week ("Week" defined as 12:00 a.m. Monday to 11:59 pm Sunday).  Starting Lineup must include one (1) player at each position, and no more then one.  Positions are defined by CFFL College Basketball League and are posted on the "Transactions" page list of Players.

Starting Lineup Moves

Owners can make unlimited Roster moves (Player changes) at no cost.  All changes must be completed before the start of CFFL.com College Basketball action each week.  (Start of the week is defined as the first game tip off after 12:00 a.m. Monday, each week -- basically, the first game each Monday.  Changes submitted after this deadline will not be accepted, and players listed as of the deadline will be used for that week's games; the changes will go into effect for the following week's games.)  Starting Lineups are set for the season unless and until changed by the owner.  (If you do not choose to make any changes, your Roster will 'roll over' from week to week, as-is.)  Your Roster can not have any more than one (1) player at each position, at any time; any Roster Moves submitted to the League Office which will result in an excess number of players at a particular position will be denied.

To submit Roster changes to the League Office, you simply click over to the "Transactions" page and fill out a Transactions Report.  The information is submitted to the League Offices, and you will receive confirmation of changes when they are entered by the League Office.  (Note: a list of available players, by position, will be kept at the Transactions page, for Owners' use.)

Leagues

You will be assigned to a League when you Register for the 2002-2003 season.  You will be matched up with others from around the internet who have joined in for this season.  You may also request to be assigned to a particular League when you Register (or create a new League of your own).  We encourage Owners to keep in touch with other Owners in their league, and provide email addresses and Owners' names (unless Owners request that this is omitted) in the Standings listings.
