The Draft
Teams are drafted by
two methods -- standard List-based Draft or 'live' message board-based
Draft. (Each Division selects their style of Drafting.)
Standard
(list-based) Draft
Team Owners submit a Draft List (players you wish
to Draft, by position, with players ranked by value) to The CFFL, and our computer runs a
Draft for your Division. The Draft for the 2003 season begins one week
after your Division is filled. [First Drafts scheduled for weekend of July
22nd; additional Drafts held throughout the summer.] Rosters will be
posted as soon as processed by The CFFL.
'Live'
(message board-based) Draft
Through our affiliates at ffWarroom.com, you can have your league
participate in a 'live' online Draft, through their message-board Draft
service. And, best, it is a Free option for CFFL.com team
owners!
New Owners can Draft a New team (in the next Draft following their Registration), or pick
up an un-owned team from an existing Division (select a ready- made team that
is not yet owned; the Roster can be modified through Free Agents-- non-drafted or Waived
players-- and Trades with other teams' Coaches.)
(See Rule Book for full
details on the Draft process.)

The Online Rule Book details the Rules and
Guidelines necessary for 2003 League Play. Anything not covered by these
Rules will be decided upon by Commissioner.

League
Types (*New for 2003)
Full Div
I-A Leagues
This is the Classic format for CFFL.com, originators of College Fantasy
Football Leagues online. Each team drafts a roster of Players from
across Div I-A teams. Team owners complete an 11-game schedule
against other coaches in their Conference. During the first 8 weeks of the Season all teams
compete in Head-to-Head competition as well as Overall Points competition. The records in
the Head-to-Head competition determine the teams qualifying for Playoffs (and eventually,
Bowl Game). Teams advancing to Playoffs continue head-to-head play
in weeks 9-11, as well as Overall Points competition; teams that do not
qualify for Playoffs continue Overall Points competition only in weeks
9-11. Bowl game victor is Conference's head-to-head
champion; Overall Points competition determines the Conference Points
champion for the
Season. (See Rules for complete details.) The CFFL will post links to the 2003 schedule
and rosters for all Div IA teams (see team pages) for Owners to use in planning Rosters around 'Bye' weeks,
schedule strength of opponents, etc.
*BCS
Conferences-Only Leagues (*New for 2003)
Owners Draft from teams in the six BCS Conferences, only. (BCS
Conferences are: Big XII, Big T(elev)en, SEC, ACC, Big East,
PAC-10.) BCS-only leagues make for increased challenge in drafting
quality depth Players, an attractive option for many Fantasy Football
players. Remaining rules set to default as those for original
(all I-A) league type.
*Pick-the-Conferences
Leagues (*New for 2003)
For Private leagues, CFFL.com offers team owners the option of selecting
the Conferences they wish to include in their competition. Owners
brought in by the Private League originator (and/or additional teams
brought in by CFFL.com, as arranged at the initiation of the Private
League) Draft from teams in the selected Conferences, only.
Pick-the-Conference(s)-leagues allow fantasy players to focus their season
of Fantasy Football on their favorite Conference(s), making for increased
challenge and added fun for avid fans of those
Conferences. Remaining rules set to default as those for
original (all I-A) league type.
